J.W. Terrill Announces Innovative New Partnership with The Mission Center
Redoubles Commitment to Community, Nonprofits and Small Businesses

St. Louis, MO (October 11, 2012) In an industry where many national firms are pulling back on their commitment to community and small employers in the uncertainty of looming healthcare reforms, J.W. Terrill, a regional brokerage that ranks among the top 100 U.S. brokers by Business Insurance Magazine, has announced a new partnership with The Mission Center and its statewide consortium of over 60 nonprofits that includes the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, Boys and Girls Club of Greater St. Louis and the Gateway Center for Giving.

“When we launched this statewide collaborative of nonprofits in 2010, we thought working with one of the largest privately-held brokerage firms in the country was certainly the right way to go for our nonprofit members,” said Chris Miller, Founder of The Mission Center.” As it turns out, when it comes to having a partner that is going to stay committed to community and remaining competitive for small businesses and nonprofits under Obamacare, going with the best and brightest locally is the best route to take.”

J.W. Terrill believes that its reputation in the market place, proven service model and passionate staff of over 170 benefits and insurance experts will make it uniquely able to remain competitive for small businesses and nonprofits in the changing health insurance market.

“Our expertise in insuring non-profit and social services organizations sets us apart,” says Executive Vice President Lynda Baris. “Our relationship with trusted insurers provides The Mission Center clients with unique support for the needs of their organization.”

J.W. Terrill is not new to nonprofit consortiums – in fact, in 2003 it worked with a group of St. Louis cultural institutions to develop a collaborative health insurance program for its nonprofit members who also strive to make the most efficient and effective use of tax-payer and donor dollars.

“For all nonprofits, maintaining a low-overhead and putting as many dollars towards mission is their primary concern,” said Miller. “Health insurance is one key area in which we can help do this, and knowing that we have an experienced partner like J.W. Terrill to help us continue to grow our consortium throughout the state and Metro-East is a huge benefit to the community and region.”

For nonprofits interested in learning more about how they can benefit from this new partnership, an informational forum will be held at Webster University on November 1st at 9:00 AM in the Emerson Library Conference Room.
